Spring: May 4 to June 15

Summer: June 29 to August 10

Registration is in progress.

We are pleased to announce that the 48th annual EMU Alumni Awards Dinner will be held on Saturday, May 9 (6 p.m.) at the Ypsilanti Marriott and Eagle Crest Conference Center.

Two people, very special to CMTA, will be part of the honorees:

  • David Blixt, 1999 graduate will be honored with the Outstanding Young Alumni Award. David has been very successful as an author and actor in the Chicago area and spent a great deal of his last year working with current EMU theatre students as the director of Romeo and Juliet –– one of our fall 2008 mainstage productions.

  • Ken Stevens will also be recognized with the Dr. John W. Porter Distinguished Service Award. As both professor and long-time director of EMU Theatre, Ken has provided life-changing events for many of us and this recognition, we feel, is well deserved and long overdue.

If your schedule allows and if you would like to join us for this alumni event, please call or email for more information including ticket prices prior its May 1 deadline for reservations:
