June 4th Celebrations

Alumni returned for several special events on Saturday, June 4, 2011.

We honored over 40 years of service to EMU by Dr. Gary Evans with the dedication of a peace pole in his honor. The peace pole is located on Quirk circle drive.

Jinny Koste's contributions to our DTFY program were celebrated and a stone story circle was named in honor of both program's founders, Koste and Thelma McDaniel. The story circle is also on the north side of Quirk and on the circle drive.

Both these additions to our landscaped have enhanced to entry to our theatres! Check this area out next time you come to campus.

Following dinner at the Tower Inn with 60 alumni and staff, and the evening performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee directed by Ken Stevens, the 25th "birthday" of the Sponberg Theatre was celebrated. Great day; great evening for CMTA and its alumni.
